Community Minded. Quality Driven.
Providing Value.

Benesch is a unique kind of professional services firm– we are large enough to handle our client’s most complex and challenging assignments, but nimble enough to offer an exceptional level of customer service. We make our client’s number one priority, our priority as well– overall project success.

Our services range from initial planning and feasibility studies through to construction management. We have designed complex highway interchanges, new commuter railway systems and major river bridges. We’ve planned multi-use recreation centers; hospital and educational complexes; and miles of trails and greenway space. We have inspected thousands of highway and railroad bridges; overseen the construction of interstate corridors; and managed the renovations of train stations, airport facilities, schools and intermodal rail yards.
We are Alfred Benesch & Company.

Our history runs deep

Our company was founded as a structural and civil engineering firm in 1946 by Mr. Alfred Benesch. Early on, Mr. Benesch understood the importance of increasing the company’s knowledge and skill by bringing together a conglomeration of experts with different perspectives. As the expertise expanded, so did the services we offer.

For more than 70 years, the firm has grown and prospered. Today, Engineering News Record places Benesch among the Top 500 Design Firms in the country.

Benesch’s high retention and long tenure rates speak to how committed we are to maintaining engaged employees.

We pursue a variety of different ways to continually keep this a major focus at the company. Several different employee-driven engagement committees meet regularly to discuss initiatives such as Wellness, Rewards & Recognition, Work-Life Balance and Corporate Social Responsibility.
