130th & Torrence Avenue, Truss Bridge Roll-In

This Benesch-designed steel truss bridge is the crowning jewel atop a brand new, three-tiered grade-separated intersection on Chicago’s south side, and is believed to be the largest steel truss railroad bridge span ever rolled into place using Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs). The entire intersection was designed by Benesch, and we are currently managing its construction.
