Citywide Sewer Design and Construction Management

The City of Chicago needed to update and repair its massive, aging sewer system. As part of a master consulting agreement, the Chicago Department of Transportation enlisted Benesch to provide professional design engineering and construction management services to assist in the effort to design and repair various sewer projects throughout the City. Task orders have involved completing tens of thousands of LF of sewer design; temporary watermain support; survey; extensive utility coordination; soil borings; box culverts; tumbling basins; temporary watermain support; concrete collars; cast-in-place connection structures; traffic control plans; as-needed ADA ramp designs and more.
