Benesch provided construction engineering services for the restoration and rehabilitation of this 72’ long historic wrought iron lenticular double bowstring (Pauli Girder) pony truss, which was built in built in 1888. Construction engineering services for the $600K project included: partial demolition procedure including design of temporary framing to lift and move entire bridge superstructure to staging area for dismantling; and development of an erection procedure for rehabilitated trusses, including assembly in staging area and lifting assembled superstructure into place.
