SR A1A Emergency Repair

Flagler Beach, FL

In October 2016, Hurricane Matthew destroyed a large part of State Road A1A in Flagler Beach. The temporary fix began immediately and the Benesch Public Involvement team sprang into action with less than two weeks to organize, prepare, and facilitate a public meeting for which many residents and business owners attended to better understand the ongoing construction activities.

Due to the time constraints, the Benesch Public Involvement team personally delivered notices and public meeting announcements to businesses and residents along SR A1A and coordinated with the U.S. Postal Service on notifying the public of affected mail delivery routes and temporary mail boxes.
