Benesch announces two new Division Manager appointments within the firm’s Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions at the start of 2020.
Brian Cannella, PLA, is assuming the role of North Carolina Division Manager. Brian is a highly skilled landscape architect with 23 years of experience in school planning and athletic complex/field design. Throughout his career, Brian has been guided by his passion for transforming community environments in positive ways. He is an exceptional project manager with a proven ability to lead design and construction efforts on complex projects. In North Carolina, his efforts have positioned Benesch as a premier partner on K-12 work.
Steve Drechsler, PE, is moving into the role of Connecticut Division Manager. Steve has over 20 years of structural engineering experience leading bridge design projects across the state of Connecticut and beyond. He is an accomplished engineer and project manager with numerous successful projects to his credit, including dozens of bridge designs, several historic bridge rehabilitations, bridge safety inspection contracts and roadway corridor safety projects. His proven performance with the Connecticut DOT has allowed Benesch to remain a consistent partner of theirs to deliver improvements through their State and Local Bridge programs.
The former division leaders—James Fuda, PE, in Connecticut and Phillip Hobbs, PLA, LEED AP, in North Carolina—have paved the way for a successful transition thanks to their commitment to our clients and the on-going expansion of the firm’s expertise.
As these internal promotions are finalized, both Mr. Fuda and Mr. Hobbs will transition into new roles at Benesch.
